Morons
By Melli (2000/10/04)I am not sure what I was originally going to write about. I know I am angry, and I must share my anger. First, I am angry at the fact that I had high hope concerning an upcoming concert here in Chambana (that's what the freaks call the twin cities of Champaign-Urban, damn freaks.). I waited patiently, full of hope, then the announcement came: Limp Bizkit, Emminem, Papa Roach. For the love of God, one would have been bad enough, but did they have to infect my environment with 3 bad bands! What sickened me even more was to see how excited people were about this line up! I actually had to spend a good half hour arguing with a co-worker, as he defended Emminem's musical talents. I gave up, I couldn't explain to this individual how wrong he was. Besides, he lets me in to the club he works at to check out the great local bands.
I think I remember what I was originally angry about...women. Not women in general for I am a woman, but how some women refuse to accept the fact that they are not that size 3 that they were when they were 18. Why must a 200lb woman try to squeeze in something that was meant for someone about 60 lbs. lighter. They made sizes for a reason. If you are a size 12 then wear it...If you're a size 16 then wear it. I don't need to see woman with zippers that won't zip, buttons that won't close, shirts that look like they have been stretched to their limit. I am no size 3 so trust me I am not bashing anyone. Do yourself justice as a woman, and allow yourself to look good in what size you were intended to wear.
On a completely different note, I am sick of the construction that has been going on since May in front of our house. In the middle of all the construction, they went on strike. A STRIKE!! So for weeks we only had 2 lanes open, and you never knew which two lanes they were going to be so you had all these maniacs zig-zagging through all the cones. I think they are finally finishing up this week, only a month and a half behind schedule. Sickening, I tell you. Do they think I have not noticed that all the new lines that they painted on the road are crooked?! Well, they are. All of them. One mile long stretch of road with crooked lines. Maybe I should move because I don't think that I could handle looking at crooked lines every single day.
I shop at Best Buy quite a bit, and they moved our Best Buy to a new better, bigger location. Neither one is true. The only thing bigger is the parking lot. I have walked up and down the aisles and I know they are not bigger. I have asked employees and they secretly told me that they too do not see that this new building is bigger. A better location? I think not. The old Best Buy was on a street that was easily accessible and all there was surrounding it was car dealerships. No traffic. You did not have to wait 10 minutes to be able to turn into the damn parking lot. It is now on the busiest street in town. Every store is moving to this street. I mean I think there like 100 restaurants on this street. Enough is enough. Now, I am angry about this and I have to go over there in a little while.
Anyway, don't forget to vote. Really, I know that it is a hard decision and all, but do it. If you want my opinion , we should at least have a president who could pronounce subliminal. Hey George, can you say MORON! Besides, I feel like if Gore doesn't win , he will pull the plug on the internet and it will be bye bye Paved Earth.
